Clarence Johnson is a Los Angeles-based Art Director and Designer creating through research and cultural exploration currently as the Senior Visual Designer for Drip. He began his design career in 2011, creating cover artwork and posters for mixtape artists while working as a Junior Designer for Arnold Worldwide in Boston, MA — the city where he was born. After graduating from Bowdoin College in 2015 with a degree in Computer Science, he worked as an Art Director for The Ad Club. He helped evolve it’s brand and marketing strategy and created the look and feel for their industry-wide events such as Media Innovation Day, The Rosoff Awards, and The Women’s Leadership Forum.

Shortly after, Clarence relocated to Los Angeles and joined Tune Up Fitness, Worldwide as a Brand Designer and also began providing creative direction for the band The Swoons.

As a creative, Clarence approaches his work with intention to beautifully convey narratives and creative concepts. He designs and brands with an emphasis on culture through research and exploration. In his free time, he provides art direction and creative for musical artists. While expanding his craft primarily through graphic design, Clarence also creates art and instrumental music as a hobby.
